Compress images with control over quality
Make a batch smaller for web pages or sharing, with a target file size and explicit limits on quality and dimensions.

If a photo is much larger than its display area, resizing may save more space than lowering quality alone. Keep the original file and choose dimensions suitable for the final use. Compression changes file size; resizing changes pixel dimensions. You may need both.
Choose a suitable format
JPEG suits photographs without transparency. WebP supports transparency and lossy compression where the browser supports it. PNG may be larger for photographs and its output does not use the lossy quality slider. For text, logos and diagrams, compare the actual exported edges before choosing a smaller format.
Try a target size
Enable a target and set the minimum quality and dimensions you will accept. The field uses KiB: 1 KiB is 1024 bytes. If an upload limit is exactly 200,000 bytes, 195 KiB is 199,680 bytes and leaves a small margin. The tool makes at most 12 attempts and reports an unreachable target. Always check the actual output size before submitting it elsewhere.
Keep dimensions when a form requires them
Set minimum dimensions to 100% when the requested pixel dimensions must stay fixed. If you allow smaller dimensions, the tool may reduce them to meet the target. A very small file limit can be incompatible with large dimensions and your minimum quality; increase the limit or change the allowed settings instead of assuming every target is possible.
Inspect important details
Check text, edges and faces at the output’s actual size. Increase minimum quality or the file-size budget if artifacts appear. Repeated JPEG recompression can lose more detail; return to the original when trying a new setting. A higher quality number does not restore detail already lost in a source file.

Processing is local. Download individual results or ZIP parts; large batches may be split to bound memory use. A ZIP groups the outputs for download and is not a substitute for checking each exported image’s size. No image, filename or EXIF data is sent to a processing server by this workspace.
