Select static WebP files and JPEG output. Choose a background for transparent areas because JPEG cannot preserve transparency. White works for many light page backgrounds; a dark page may need a different choice. Preview the edges of a logo or product before exporting every file.
PNG to WebP
WebP can retain transparency with quality controls when supported. The tool checks the actual encoded file type instead of giving a PNG file a WebP name.
When to keep PNG
Use PNG for transparency and when you want to avoid lossy compression for text or graphics. Converting a compressed JPEG to PNG cannot restore lost detail. File size depends on the content; a format change is not a guarantee of a smaller file. Compare outputs made from the same original.
Supported inputs
Static JPEG, PNG and WebP files are supported within the workspace limits. Animated files and SVG are rejected in this workflow.
